Online communities

Why Online Communities?

  • The amount of mental health content online is overwhelming
  • Suitable content it's difficult to locate at a time of need
  • The benefits provided by headspace services shouldn't be limited to the duration of a session
  • Hearing experiences of peers removes barriers

My Toolkit

My Toolkit provides users their own private page on the headspace website where they can build a digital mental health toolkit.  The platform helps them find content and tools that they can return to in a time of need.

Online Communities

Community spaces gives users a way to share and explore resources about mental health and wellbeing with a like-minded community.

Group chats led by professionals

Group chat gives young people a forum to speak anonymously and learn from others about specific mental health topics.

There are at lease 2 group chats a month, with transcripts made available through the headspace website

Group chats led by peers

This chat is facilitated by a team of young people from around Australia, providing peer support in an online group chat setting.  Spaces chats operate from 6pm to 10pm Monday through Thursday on high level topics including general coping and navigating relationships.
