Celebrating our 1st Birthday in style…….

On Friday the 4^th September 2015 we celebrated our 1^st Birthday with young people, our local community and our headspace Hurstville staff.

We took this opportunity to celebrate how far we have come since opening our centre and to share these successes with our local community. We believe that headspace Hurstville is making progress with young people by supporting them to seek help early when they are having a tough time.

The day was full of fun, interactive activities including a blind food tasting, quoits, a PS3 Challenge, a mind games puzzle and an egg and spoon race. The 3 teams competing were headed up by St George Illawarra Dragons retired player Dan Hunt and Bondi rescue stars Maxi and Jesse. Young people lined up to get involved in the competiveness and the winners had to be decided over a final game of giant jenga. Thanks to all who got involved and helped us celebrate in style.

A special thanks to our Youth Reference Group, Dan Hunt, Jesse and Maxi, who did a great job participating in our activity stations and leading the 3 teams – Live Your Life, Bucket Hat and Positive Vibe.
