headspace Bendigo is a place you can go to, when you may need help with any issue that maybe worrying you. All services are FREE.

You can receive support from a range of professionals including youth workers, sexual health workers, social workers, alcohol and other drug workers.  No referrals needed.

Just give us a call on 5406 1400 or email headspace@bchs.com.au and we will contact you to make an appointment.  Please be aware that this email account is only checked during business hours so if you need urgent help call the Crisis, Assessment and Treatment Team on 1300 363 788 or Lifeline 13 11 14.

We have late appointments on Tuesdays from 5pm - 7pm for existing clients only.

headspace Bendigo is operated by Bendigo Community Health Services. All headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Murray (Murray PHN).

Services

Mental health workers – which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers – that can help if you're just not feeling yourself.

Sexual health screenings on site or links to local services. 

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with work or study opportunities. 

Centres have a range of programs and activities for young people. Just ask your centre what they have on. 

GPs can help with any physical health issues as well as issues related to sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or feeling down or upset. Your centre may have a GP on site or links to one locally. 

Workers either on site or linked to the centre who can assist you with any alcohol or other drug issue. 

A group of young people who help with events and some decision making at a centre. Ask your centre about getting involved.

1. Complete a referral form via any of the below pathways

 

 

  • In person at our headspace Bendigo office

 

  • Over the phone with one of our receptionists (03 5406 1400)

2. We will contact you to book an appointment

This may take a few days. Please call us or drop into our office if you feel it's urgent.

 

3. The assessment

You will meet with one of our Mental Health Clinicians for an hour. They will give you information, ask you questions and answer any questions you might have.

All requests will be considered however our capacity is dependent on the availability of our qualified staff.  

A minimum of 4 weeks' notice prior to an event would be appreciated.

headspace Bendigo believes youth participation is fundamental to the delivery of quality services for young people.  This is why we have a youth reference group to assist and if you're aged between 12 - 25 we would love for you to be a part of it.

We meet on a Wednesday night at headspace Bendigo, with a very casual and relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to speak as much or as little as they want - we also provide some fun food and have the ability to transport people home.

headspace Bendigo offers two diversity groups weekly for young people who identify as LGBTIQ+ and their friends and allies.

We provide a safe and inclusive space where young people can be themselves, meet others, have some fun and participate in community activities that celebrate diversity.
